NOTD - Face of Australia Luxe Nail Enamel in Ocean Villa
Onto the colour I have! As soon as I started applying it I was excited to tell you all that this is one of the best nail polish formulas i've worked with, not only that the blue colour is so pretty. Perhaps not conventional for some but Hey I love my blue nails :)
It dried down to a semi matte finish, which is something I wasn't too keen on but a coat of top coat (Seche Vite of course!) all was good again!
Want to know the most exciting thing though? These polishes are only $4.95each!
As I mentioned before these are being phased out so the new collection can come in (google Face of Australia Molten Metals and a grab a serviette because your going to drool..Ore is on my list and better not sell out before I get my grabby hands onto it!) However you can still order from the lovely make up box shop to the email above or even have a chat to them on twitter @TheMakeUpBoxAU or you may be lucky and stumble across some in your local Kmart!

This product was provided to me for my consideration, for more information please read my disclosure policy.

Today was all about the nails
I've banged on about this place before, it's in Bankstown and stocks brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie and Orly for a fraction of what we pay in the stores (not quite as cheap as online, but for quick gratification it's a good option).
First up though I was in desperate need for a Mani and Pedi so off I went to find a place that looked okay, I ended up at American Nails and got mah nails did. Have I ever mentioned before how much I hate pedicures? I hate my feet being touched so much that I swear I make the weirdest faces when i'm getting one, they even kept asking if I was okay! So after the torture was through I went to the nail store and at the front... CHINA GLAZE CRACKLES! OH MY! So I picked up a basket and stocked up.
I picked up the following
China Glaze Crackle - Lightening Bolt (White)
China Glaze Crackle - Broken Hearted (Pink)
China Glaze Crackle - Crushed Candy (Light Blue)
China Glaze Crackle - Cracked Concrete (Grey)
Crackle Shatter - Hot Purple (different brand but the lady said the crackle in it was good, so thought i'd give it a go)
China Glaze - Sugar High
China Glaze - Midtown Magic
OPI - Ink
Seche Vite (ahhhh my HG! I buy another bottle of this everytime I go so I always have a back up)
Here are some pics of my haul and my mani and pedi, mind my ugly feet...we have issues :)

Review - Picture Polish
I have to apologize i'm a bad blogger and didn't get to tell you guys about this brand earlier and the discount code...which is valid til tomorrow...oops! However if you want to impulse buy now use the code 41eb62 at the checkout and receive free shipping and one extra bottle of polish when you order 3! If you miss out sign up to the mailing list as i'm sure they'll have more deals for everyone.
Onto the brand, they have a cute little tag line "A week on your tips, and never on your hips". The website has a ton of colours and they range from pastels to neon to duochrome (drooooooool!) and even holo's (droooling again). My favourite thing is the names of the colours and the little tag line they put above the name, very adorable! The polishes range from $9.95 - $14.95AUD so not too hard on the pocket. They also charge a flat rate of $7.00AUD shipping within Australia and International gals...they post internationally! Woo!
I picked out 4 colours because I took advantage of the deal, it was hard picking only 4 but now having tried them I think i'll be going back and ordering some more.
Before I post my swatches the only thing I didn't like was the website navigation is sometimes a little bit difficult. I found it really hard to just go back into my shopping cart. I'm sure this will be fixed over time.

Application of the polishes was really good, I found the Camoflauge colour to be the best in terms of application and the Watermelon and Coral Reef colours reminded me of the consistency of Essie polishes, a little thin but buildable. All swatches have 2 coats of polish.

I think Heavy Metal should be called Glam Rock or Glam Metal because as I was applying it all I could think of was Bret Michaels in Poison.

NOTW - Butter London Fash Pack & MAC Bad Fairy
First up is my very first Butter London polish, this was also a freebie with this months Harpers Bazaar magazine. Finally a great magazine GWP that isn't in a dodgy colour. This is one of those mushroomey, taupey colours that I loooooove. It has a little difference with a bit of a gold shimmer in it (I've tried to capture that it in the picture of the bottle). I think the magazine is only out for a few more weeks so get onto it! It also comes in a sheer pink as well, so why not get both, it's a bargain!
The colour is called Fash Pack, if you want to get your hands on some Butter London polishes but don't want Harpers or don't like the colours you can buy them online in Australia from Honey Honey and they retail on there for $22AUD. I've also seen them in various chemists as well. Check out my little watermark on my photos, i've decided to not be as lazy this week!

My 2nd polish this week and the one I applied today is from the new MAC Venomous Villans collection. Yep I went on the day it was released in Australia and picked up this bad boy (actually it'd more likely be a bad girl...) or BAD FAIRY!
This is an amazing duochrome colour with flecks of red, orange, pink, gold and cupcakes... actually no cupcakes but it may as well have due to it's awesomeness! This is my first duochrome and I see this could become quite the addiction...like glitter!
If you like this colour, get onto it quick because this is limited edition and from what i've heard has been selling well! It retails here for $22AUD which yes is pricey, but it's kind of too amazing to not get.
I tried to get this in a few different lights so you can see as many colours as possible...this was hard but I think i've achieved it!

Nail Polish on Ebay… I found a good one!
Being the nail polish addict I am, or recently become I'm hitting the bandwagon hard on the whole Taupe is the new Mint nail look and went in search of Mink Muffs *giggle* by Essie.
I tried ebay and found a few sellers, went for the cheapest with cheapest shipping not so much because i'm a tight ass (I can be though!) but mainly because Ebay always concerns me with sellers and authenticity etc. Mind you the seller I used had a ton of feedback but whose to say a ton of people haven't been ripped off.
So I ordered, received my package a week later (from the US...unheard of!) and am a happy little vegemite!
Being the sharing and caring girl I am I thought i'd tell you the seller I used so if you want to have a look at what they have you can try them yourselves.
The link to their store is - http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Top-nail-shop
I only bought one polish so not sure of the policies on combined shipping etc but if you do find out, please let me know.
I will be doing another order with a different nail place on Ebay shortly (one that has My Private Jet because Top Nail Shop doesn't stock it) and I will let you know how that goes as well.
I'm still rocking a mani I got last week (OPI My Private Jet, hence the need to buy it now...ahh love!) but when I enter chipsville and change to Mink Muffs *giggle* I will take pictures and let you know what I think of the Essie polish in general since it's my first :)

NOTD – OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress
This is actually one of the first OPI polishes I owned. I decided to shop my own collection of polishes and go with an oldie but a goodie.
I'm Not Really A Waitress... quite simply is a red and a lovely red. It has a slight shimmer to it and looks great with a wonderful top coat over it (Seche Vite for me thanks!)
I guess I should enjoy my current OPI polishes because they are going to be much harder to come by at a reasonable price here in Australia now that the e-tailers we all knew and loved no longer can stock OPI products... BOOOOOOOOO!
On to the pictures! :)

Orly Sweet Collection…. mmmmm looks lovely!
The collection is the Sweet Collection and it is limited edition, and us Aussies are getting it!!
After Orly got a bit of buzz by being the only nail polish brand getting featured at fashion week comes this new collection full of fun pastel creme colours.
The colours from l-r are
Pixy Stix (opaque raspberry crème), Lollipop (smooth lilac crème), Lemonade (lemon sorbet crème), Gum Drop (light turquoise crème), Cotton Candy (peachy pink crème) and Snow Cone (chilly blue crème)
Without swatches yet, so far i'm liking the look of Pixy Stix & Snow Cone the best.
I'm sure price is what you're asking, and yes they are in the higher price point for polishes. $18.95 per bottle in fact, but if you are like some that are boycotting OPI at the moment this is a great alternative as these polises are pretty comparable to your OPI's and the like.
These colours will be released here in Australia on 1st August, which is perfect timing for Spring :) Don't they scream spring to you? :)
When I get my hands (and nails) on a couple of bottles from this collection i'll be sure to swatch them.
Now for stockists, Click Here for a list of stockists. See I even get the direct links for you :)
Do you think you'll try out any of these colours? Or do you think the pastels are a bit overdone?
