Girlz Only Dry Shampoo for Blonde Hair! Lush scent dupe alert!!

I actually wrote this blog post last night out on the Blogsy ipad app as a test and I pressed some button and my post went into an abyss... RUDE!

Anyhoo! I was out shopping the other day with my mum and Ange and we were schlepping around the makeup section in Target (as you do!) as we were about to leave I noticed a new version of the Girlz Only dry shampoo for Blonde/Light Hair and since i'd just gotten my blonde re-done I was in the mood for giving a shit about my hair and picked one up. These only cost $2 and when I went to pay it scanned in at $1.40...I should have bought a few more.

FYI I did a comparison on some dry shampoos i've tried including the regular Girlz Only dry shampoo's HERE!

Now you may be wondering why this particular dry shampoo is getting it's own post when i've really reviewed it before and it performs exactly the same as the other ones I have tried.

Let me take you on a bit of a journey into my office the other week, I was wondering all day what this freaking amazing smell was... I knew what scents I had slapped on in the morning and didn't think it was me, until I remembered I used the dry shampoo for the first time that morning. The smell was so familiar, I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out what it was until it hit me... HONEY I WASHED THE KIDS! (by Lush).

Funny thing is I have been burning a melt at home in my oil burner that is also a dupe of Honey I Washed The Kids so I thought maybe i'd gotten it on my hands or something, nope after using it again it's the dry shampoo.

Unfortunately for you darker haired ladies, this won't work for you because the actual powder? in the dry shampoo has a yellow tone as it's meant to also help cover up roots in between dye jobs (since my hair is still pretty freshly dyed I can't really comment on if it does in fact do this). I've taken a picture of the nozzle which shows the yellow of the product.

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo can be purchased from Target stores for RRP $2.00AUD.. and they are amazing!

Essence Hauling! Eyeshadows - Disco Diva, Party All Night & Taupe of the Pops

Essence is a fairly new brand the Australian market and luckily for us it's one of those brands that has come out here and not been overly marked up beyond the point of purchasing. It's still nice and cheap so when you need a quick beauty fix, it's a great place to start! They are stocked in Target locations in Australia (not 100% if all Targets stock them but the ones i've been to have all had it).

I picked up a few things to try out and so far i'm pretty impressed, so much so I want to go and try some more of their products.

Let's start with eyeshadows, I kind of stayed in my comfort zone with 2 neutrals and I picked one brighter colour since it's my aim to add more brighter eye looks to my makeup routine.

As for size, they are 2.5g and the pan is pretty much the size of a Stila pan which comes in at 2.6g.

As far as quality goes, these are pretty good! The colour payoff is great and they are super smooth, however I do think Disco Diva is a bit of a harder shadow to work with when I used it I needed to pack it onto my brush a bit more then the other colours.

The wear is also good, however I always use an eyeshadow primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion) but the colours didn't crease on me at all.

Best part? They cost $3.25each! That's cheaper then a Latte!

Okay are you ready for my pop of colour? Here is a look I did using Disco Diva!

Eye Breakdown -

Lid - Virgin (Urban Decay Naked Palette)

Crease & Blended out above crease - Essence Disco Diva

Lashline - Purple from Stila Creme Bouquet Palette

Lower Lashline - As above with Essence Disco Diva smudged on top

Outer Corner - Creep (Urban Decay Naked Palette)

Browbone - Virgin (Urban Decay Naked Palette)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Melonade

I have a problem, I am obsessed with bright lips! I was playing around in the beauty aisles at Target going on a lipstick swatching spree and looked down at my hand and all I saw were brights! Pinks, Corals, Reds, Oh My!

One of the colours I swatched was by Revlon in the colour Melonade from the current Summer Safari collection. I didn't buy it straight away but after my brain telling me non stop all week "Anita, you need that colour" and with the Target 25% off beauty prodz, it was like fate. I had to have it! So I hightailed it to my local Target after work on Thursday night, and picked it up for a measly $16! (25% discount is still on until tomorrow - 3rd Nov)

I'm so glad I did, I think this will be a summer staple shade for me and may even be the shade I leave in my handbag for touch ups :) (Currently that shade is MAC Lovelorn if you wanted to know)

This is my first lipstick from the Super Lustrous range and i'm really impressed. The pigment is great and it is moisturizing. The colour itself is gorgeous, a bright coral that isn't too much. Loooove it! It looks quite red in the tube on my photos but it's more pinky in person.
