Adios Google Reader!

If you're currently reading this blog post on the google reader platform then you may have heard the news that google reader is no longer servicing us blog readers from 1st July 2013.

I'd still love you to stick around and read my musings/crap.

You can follow Pink Dynamite on Bloglovin, by either clicking HERE! or clicking the fancy Bloglovin' icon i've thrown into my sidebar.

The alternative is Hello Cotton, which you can follow me HERE! or again clicking the fancy icon i've put into my blog design.

I've personally started using Bloglovin to follow my fave blogs and it's working out quite well, they have a great tutorial on their site on how to import your current google reader subscriptions as well so then you won't miss out on anyones posts!

My facebook & twitter acocunts also update when I hit submit on a blog post (sometimes prematurely...does anyone else forget to label before they hit publish? or is this my own first world problem?)

P.S. Anyone else super excited about the Pretty Little Liars season finale? Is Toby Dead??? Who's Red Coat? Will Aria wear a normal outfit for once??

Bye Bye Google Friend Connect! How to import your blogs currently on google!

As you may have seen already on some other blogs is that Google Friend Connect has decided to not allow people who are on non google hosted blogs (ie. Anything other then blogger blogs) to use their service anymore. I believe this is to make way and force more people to use the new Google+.

This is frustrating as I know this is how I've come to follow all my blogs, and it's what I use so people can also follow me.

I'm not entirely sure if once this comes into effect that the current subscriptions will stop updating on Google Reader, so i've decided to let you all know of other ways you can find my blog and follow it :)

• The easiest thing to do is follow this blog via bloglovin, Click Here to follow me!


• I also tweet a lot, and on my twitter I automatically update on any new blog posts or videos


• Facebook is another option! Like my page to receive updates straight to your facebook timeline! 


• I have setup a Google+ account for the blog as well, It might take awhile to get used to it but it is there!


• Subscribe to my YouTube channel! 

Now not totally blog related or whatever but you can also find me on the following websites if they interest you at all!

• I have a tumblr that I sometimes go on major tumble spree's on, but honestly it's quite neglected!


• I am utterly addicted to Pinterest! I can get lost for hours on that website


• Another slight addiction of mine, Instagram! I love this app and am often "instagramming" 

Now you have no excuse to not continue to read this blog :)

Something else I wanted to share with you, I had a panic about 40mins ago thinking if google friend connect is going to stop following my favourite blogs, how do I keep updated with them all (I read a lot of blogs). I then found a way to import your blog list from google reader into Bloglovin! YAY!

Here's how to do it

1. In your google reader account, go to 'settings'

2. Click on the tab with Import/Export

3. On the 'Export Information' graph there will be a download on OPML column and the first line 'subscriptions'. Download this file.

4. Go to - http://www.bloglovin.com/import

5. Upload the file you downloaded from Google Reader

6. DONE!

I'm pretty sure it only imports the blogs that are currently on Bloglovin, but it's at least a start.

I am keeping the Google Friend Connect widget on my blog for the time being, I will remove it once it has stopped working. I am also working on fixing my RSS feed which is down for some reason and getting badges for the new G+ page etc. Sometimes blogging isn't all makeup and fun :)

It's Link Love time!! Here are a few blog posts that have caught my eye this week and general blogs you should check out. I've figured out a way to organize my favourite posts during the week as I read them so expect these as a weekly (if I remember...) thing.

Check out the ahhhhmazing swatches of the China Glaze Awakening Collection on You've Got Nail, I've got Zombie Zest and will be painting it on my nails this weekend...my swatches will not be as good :)

What's ahead this week... It's Halloween on Sunday and while we don't really celebrate it in Australia i've been noticing it's getting a little more shoved into our faces. I'm not complaining i've always wanted Halloween to be something we celebrated here. I think I'll have my Zombie Zest nails on and watch some horror movies on the day, sounds perfect right?.

One thing I did really want to do, is dress my dogs up. I'm one of those furmummys who dresses her dogs up. When I was thinking about outfits/costumes for them I thought something that wouldn't really take a whole lot of work was if I dressed my Boston up as Taylor Momsen... add a bleach blonde wig and she'd be good to go. Hold your applause...Visual below -

 

I am still obsessed with The Vampire Diaries.... no really it's actually quite bad. I challenge you to find a better looking ensemble cast then that cast. Amazing! For your viewing pleasure is Mason and Tyler Lockwood (that's the characters names, I don't know real names and can't be bothered going on IMDB and finding out) and of course I couldn't not put a picture of Damon/Ian Somerhalder :)





Don't forget Target have 25% off cosmetics this week!!! I want to get my hands on Revlon Melonade lippie from the new collection... Hoping it's still at my local Target tonight.

Also Stella McCartney for Target launches tomorrow in Australia, some really gorgeous pieces and well worth checking out. You can't layby this time though. I love layby!

I haven't shopped in awhile...clothes wise anyway! I get paid monthly so my splurges often come mid month (when my pay does...funny that?)

I saw this top on the newsletter I receive from http://www.freez.com.au/ weekly and it was very me... skulls...long...good price ($29), pretty much sells me really :) I figured I could wear it to Soundwave on Sunday since I don't really know what i've got in my current wardrobe I want to wear.

Then I also saw another top i'd been eyeing for awhile was on sale, so I also got this one it was originally $55 down to $29 -

I thought this would be a good one for when I visit Melbourne in March because it's a little transeasonal and we all know what Melbourne weather is like!

Let's add to the damage a little more shall we? I was reading through all my daily blogs on google reader and found a little gem on Sequin Of Events blog, the most adorable little bow crystal necklace. So off I went to etsy and hit the buy now button :)

So thats all the damage I did today! I want to do another transdesign order sometime soon but I might wait a few weeks, i'm trying to be good!!
