Loving.... Face Of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminator in Angel Fire (NARS ORGASM DUPE ALERT!!)

I've pretty much said everything in the title of this post!

I love this product, it's by Face of Australia and it's a total dupe for the NARS Orgasm Illuminator!

This is a limited edition product, so if your looking to pick it up.. get thee to store now!

When I first swatched this in Priceline I ummm'ed and ahhh'ed over it, would I really use a highlighter that's pigmented and not really a traditional highlighter colour? Then I couldn't stop thinking about it and imagined how I would use it, now I can't see myself without it (and i'm tempted to go buy the rest of the colours).

The consistancy of the product is quite thin, but it is very pigmented and easy to blend into the skin. You do have to be careful though because you may get a bit of product overload come out (see swatches below for a great example!).

The colour though, wowza! If you're a fan of NARS Orgasm get this! It is an absolutely gorgeous peachy pink with a fine gold shimmer. I think it's one of those colours that universally suits all skin tones.

I find the best way to wear it is more as an enhancement on my blush, so i'll put on my blush and then dot a bit of the Illuminator on the top points of my blush and blend in. I have no idea if this is what you're meant to do but it works for me.

Let's see this bad boy (or girl) in action. This is a photo I took in the car on NYE my first outing with the Illuminator on. Yeah I like heavy blush :)

Details!!!

There are 4 colours in this range, and as said earlier they are limited edition! You can pick them up for RRP $14.95AUD from all the usual Face of Australia stockists.

Loving…. Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is something I purchased awhile ago but never really tried out. So when I cleaned out my dressing table and all my beauty items I found my little bottle of A'kin Rosehip Oil and decided to give it a go.

I've been using it for a few weeks now and the results have been fantastic! I normally have quite a bit of redness especially in my cheek area. This isn't completely gone but it is certainly much clearer then before.

I think the results vary on how you apply it. The way I use it is I use it as my night cream, so I cleanse in the shower and then spray my face with my Jurlique rosewater spray (water would work as well). I then apply about 4 drops and massage it into my face until it doesn't feel oily anymore.

I don't apply any other moisturiser after this, just my eye cream (which I need as i'm entering my 30's soon...eeeeeek!!)

This may not work for everyone and I will update and let you know how it goes through the winter months when my skin gets a little drier.

I've heard the Trilogy brand of Rosehip Oil is quite good so once I finish with this bottle I might give that a go and see if there really is any difference.

loving… Lipstick Queen Medieval

So last week I fell in love, I thought maybe this new love might be fleeting and my glow would only be noticed for a day... but no... this love has continued on every day and I have been told about my new glow everyday.

Who do I thank for this glow? THE Lipstick Queen, Poppy King!

and Why? She invented this amazing tinted lip product

If you want to try ANYTHING new this year or buy yourself a bit of a pick me up product, go and buy Lipstick Queen in Medieval.

On the website they describe it as the colour the ladies in medieval times would have gotten on their lips when they stimulated them with lemons for a blood red look, it so does this!

I'm mostly a gloss girl and am only newly venturing into the world of lipstick, this was a tad scary because it's a dark dark red in the tube but on the lips it's a sheer red that I believe would look good on any skin tone (looks great on my pale skin!)

Every day I have worn this someone has told me I looked pretty that day... massive compliment I think?

Due to it being a tint the wear isn't overly long but it's quick and easy to re-apply and my colour seems to last for a few hours at least.

So where do you buy this miracle product? www.kitcosmetics.com.au is the only stockist I know of in Australia,  you can buy online or go into a store/counter.

Why not pick it up while your meeting Poppy King? Yes it's true you can meet the Lipstick Queen herself and have her pick out a lip colour for you! Check out the details at www.kitcosmetics.com.au for info on where she'll be and how you can book in.

I'll be at the Pitt Street session on Thursday night :)
