Yummy smelling showertime! Dessert Edition!

I have to make a little confession, I love trying out the brand new scent that comes out in shower gels, soaps etc so I thought i'd do a post on my favourite ones i've tried and this time focusing on Dessert smells!

I always shower at nice so I enjoy going to bed smelling nice and foodie.. oddly it relaxes me!

Also if your on a diet/health kick it's nice to smell these things and not think of the calories :)

Lush It's Raining Men Shower Gel / Honey I Washed The Kids Soap

Sadly It's Raining Men was a limited edition product (MAKE IT PERMANENT LUSH!) but never fear it's just Honey I Washed The Kids in shower gel form. I personally prefer it because I like using shower gel much more then soaps (I'm using it sparingly and I bought the big big bottle).

This smells of Honey and Toffee... it's delicious smelling and best of all it lasts on your skin. I can still smell it in the morning.

You can buy Honey I Washed The Kids from any Lush store, you may also be lucky and be able to get your mitts on It's Raining Men as well!

Lux Shower Gel with Shea Butter & Caramel - $5.49AUD

I think I can safely say everytime Lux bring out a new scent in their shower gel line, i'm onto it! When I saw the caramel one only one thing could describe it... NOMS!

This smells like buttery caramel at it's best and even though I used it a lot in summer I can see this being such a great winter scent.

The addition of the exfoliating beads also make this a fave and eliminate the need for another process come shower time! Yippee! More time to ponder blogging... come on all bloggers ponder their next posts in the shower too right?

Haus of Gloi - Bubbling Scrub in Vice ($3-$8USD)

Hands up who likes Smores? What about coffee? Well if you like Smores and Coffee... head to www.hausofgloi.com and put this in your shopping cart right now. This smells exactly of that! Don't forget to also get the matching lotion.

Of all the scents i've mentioned, this is my most recent aquisition and as soon as I opened the jar to sniff it I knew it was immediately going to be a fave! Not only is the Bubbling Scrub kinda fun but this scent lingers like a good smell (yes good!)

Not only is it lovely to support the smaller online companies but it's the service you get when you do. Everything is perfectly wrapped and you want to always be a customer... I know i'm going back to try more!

I hope you've enjoyed my yummy showertime!

Side note - If you are in Sydney and want to try Smores somewhere a new dessert place has opened in Parramatta called Incas South American Desserts and they do Smores... I've been twice (and I hope my trainer doesn't see this post!)

Lipstick Lovin' with MAC See Sheer

Back in October when I had a MAC makeover done the Make Up Artist put a crazy bright coral lipstick on me (from the Venomous Villans collection) which normally i'd love but with the rest of my look it was a bit OTT. So I suggested maybe a more muted neutral coral...little did I know we'd discover what is probably my most versatile and favourite lipstick I now own!

See Sheer honestly goes with everything, It's a Lustre formula which is my favourite type of MAC lipstick formula and it's just so darn wearable!

I highly recommend picking this up for your stash, or even just giving it a go

Illamasqua Toxic Nature - Feat Bacterium Polish

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along with other Sydney beauty bloggers to enjoy a beautiful view, macarons, cupcakes and champagnes and view the brand new Illamasqua collection called Toxic Nature... It's a hard life, really :)

In a nutshell, this collection completely wowed me! The colours are amazing and bright and fun. What completely blew me away though was the imagery used to promote the line, the makeup in those images is so flawless and I consider those images to be art... This is something I think Illamasqua absolutely excels in and one of the many reasons why this brand is completely capturing my heart!

When I first saw the polishes I fell absolutely head over heels for Bacterium and when I saw Christabel had popped one in my goody bag I was so excited to get my current polish off and get it on my nails. She mentioned to me that at the Myer show (yep Illamasqua did all the makeup at the recent Myer show in Melbourne) that Jen Hawkins loved the colour too... Jen and I are so similar right? :)

The colour in this is such a chameleon, sometimes it looks like a frosty light taupe then in some lights it's darker... then you get the flash of light blue!!

Scuse my nails, i'm in desperate need of a manicure!

Of course I couldn't tease about the amazing images and not share them with you! I've picked a few of my favourites but the rest can be seen at the Illamasqua Website

Cleanser Love! Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Cleanser

I'd heard great things about Paulas Choice and the lovely Jacie from You've Got Nail sent me a list of prodz she uses from the brand, so I went forth and bought some samples... then some full sizes!

My favourite product out of everything I purchased is by far the Skin Recovery Cleanser. After a day at work with a full face of makeup this removes everything and keeps my skin lovely and smooth and not feeling tight or dry at all.

I'm even using another cleanser now but still reaching for this to do a pre-cleanse to remove all my makeup because it just does such a good job!

If you are looking to purchase some Paulas Choice products it is worth paying the $10 to become a member, you receive a cheaper member price and some great offers. You can also buy samples for half the price (generally $1.00)

For example this cleanser (237ml) at regular price is $38.00 but the member price is $26.60

Where do you buy the products, well they can only be purchased online at the Paula's Choice website.

Please remember all products I use are my experiences only and what works for me, may or may not work for you.
