Adios Google Reader!

If you're currently reading this blog post on the google reader platform then you may have heard the news that google reader is no longer servicing us blog readers from 1st July 2013.

I'd still love you to stick around and read my musings/crap.

You can follow Pink Dynamite on Bloglovin, by either clicking HERE! or clicking the fancy Bloglovin' icon i've thrown into my sidebar.

The alternative is Hello Cotton, which you can follow me HERE! or again clicking the fancy icon i've put into my blog design.

I've personally started using Bloglovin to follow my fave blogs and it's working out quite well, they have a great tutorial on their site on how to import your current google reader subscriptions as well so then you won't miss out on anyones posts!

My facebook & twitter acocunts also update when I hit submit on a blog post (sometimes prematurely...does anyone else forget to label before they hit publish? or is this my own first world problem?)

P.S. Anyone else super excited about the Pretty Little Liars season finale? Is Toby Dead??? Who's Red Coat? Will Aria wear a normal outfit for once??

Manicure Monday - Essie Lilacism

Apologies in advance for this crappy post but I've been sick the past few days and haven't really been in a "wow nails!" mood.

I did however do my nails for this week, nothing overly exciting I just wanted a nice lavender so went to one of my 5 million lavenders I seem to have from Essie and picked Lilacism (probably my fave from the bunch). Essie do really do lovely lavenders though.

Essie can be purchased from Myer & adorebeauty.com.au for RRP $18.95AUD

Product Disclosure: this was purchased by me.. I have a problem hoarding lavender nail polishes

REVIEW: Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation

After my success with the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation I saw this new one (I'm pretty sure it's new to Australia anyway) and decided to give it a whirl.

This is what Rimmel London say about the foundation - Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation is formulated to perfectly match the shade of each individual skin tone. Advanced smart-tone technology mimics the skin’s texture and tone for superior blendability and its sapphire radiance complex illuminates the skin. The foundation has SPF 18.

Overall this is a nice foundation for a cheaper/drugstore foundation. I do really prefer the Wake Me Up Foundation mainly because it performs better on my skin and the colour match is spot on for me.

I find my skin has to be behaving really well for this foundation to look good on me, so on good skin days it's great! The coverage is light/medium and it is buildable but it's quite hard to build onto dry patches.

Ignore my sleepy face, this was all done one morning getting ready for work and I was still half asleep :)

You can purchase this from Priceline, Kmart, Target, Big W, Selected Pharmacies & Supermarkets for RRP $17.95AUD

Check out my YouTube video below for a more detailed review.

Manicure Monday - Oz The Great & Powerful inspired - OPI Jade is the new Black -

Hehehehehehehehe my pretties!

Over the weekend we (friends & boy) decided to kick it old school and check out the local Drive In, there is only one left in Sydney and it's become a regular social spot for us. We do things a little differently and take inspiration from the many outdoor cinemas that charge you a bucketload; by taking camping chairs, snacks and sitting outside our cars so we can be sociable. It's a cheap night out and a whole lot of fun! Tonights showing was Oz: The Great & Powerful followed by Wreck It Ralph.

I ain't no Margaret & David so won't get into a film review but I thoroughly enjoyed both films.

Oz lead to the inspiration for this weeks Manicure Monday. Can you guess what inspired this colour?

Keeping it quite simple as this is just a beautiful colour and doesn't need glitz (okay anything could really use glitz but I decided to keep it simple for once). I've had this bottle of OPI Jade is the new Black for a few good years now and as you can see it's gone kinda funky looking in the bottle but the actual polish seems fine (phew!).

Have you seen Oz? What did you think?

OPI is available from David Jones, Myer & Adore Beauty for RRP $19.95AUD

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo for Blonde Hair! Lush scent dupe alert!!

I actually wrote this blog post last night out on the Blogsy ipad app as a test and I pressed some button and my post went into an abyss... RUDE!

Anyhoo! I was out shopping the other day with my mum and Ange and we were schlepping around the makeup section in Target (as you do!) as we were about to leave I noticed a new version of the Girlz Only dry shampoo for Blonde/Light Hair and since i'd just gotten my blonde re-done I was in the mood for giving a shit about my hair and picked one up. These only cost $2 and when I went to pay it scanned in at $1.40...I should have bought a few more.

FYI I did a comparison on some dry shampoos i've tried including the regular Girlz Only dry shampoo's HERE!

Now you may be wondering why this particular dry shampoo is getting it's own post when i've really reviewed it before and it performs exactly the same as the other ones I have tried.

Let me take you on a bit of a journey into my office the other week, I was wondering all day what this freaking amazing smell was... I knew what scents I had slapped on in the morning and didn't think it was me, until I remembered I used the dry shampoo for the first time that morning. The smell was so familiar, I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out what it was until it hit me... HONEY I WASHED THE KIDS! (by Lush).

Funny thing is I have been burning a melt at home in my oil burner that is also a dupe of Honey I Washed The Kids so I thought maybe i'd gotten it on my hands or something, nope after using it again it's the dry shampoo.

Unfortunately for you darker haired ladies, this won't work for you because the actual powder? in the dry shampoo has a yellow tone as it's meant to also help cover up roots in between dye jobs (since my hair is still pretty freshly dyed I can't really comment on if it does in fact do this). I've taken a picture of the nozzle which shows the yellow of the product.

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo can be purchased from Target stores for RRP $2.00AUD.. and they are amazing!

REVIEW: Covergirl Lashblast Clump Crusher Mascara

You might want to start by checking out my first impression video on the mascara and then read my final thoughts below, or just skip ahead if you enjoy spoilers (I LOVE SPOILERS!).

So now i've been using this for a few weeks I thought i'd give my final thoughts on this mascara.

Basically, loving it! In the video I said it volumizes (is that even a word?) my lashes, but actually wearing it more and more I think it really just lengthens them and makes them more defined. It lives up to it's clump crushing claim and separates all the lashes with ease.

Removal is simple like all other Covergirl mascaras, I simply get my cleanser and some warm water and gently pull the mascara off my lashes (not really the way you should remove mascara I guess, but it works for me).

Price point is okay? We get ripped off severely in Australia and the RRP is $17.95AUD, however I was lucky enough to pick this up for an introductory price of $10! Keep an eye out for specials because you can always find them on these "drugstore" brands.

Really what else can you say about a mascara, let's move onto the picture portion of this post shall we?

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara is available from Woolworths, Kmart, Coles, Target, Big W & Priceline.

Product Disclosure: Purchased with my own moolah because I love trying new fings!

Manicure Monday - Face of Australia Ocean Villa

I've been craving bright blue nails all week, I have no idea why but i'm strange like that.

I haven't picked up this Face Of Australia nail colour in Ocean Villa for awhile and it is the most beautiful bright almost cobalt blue, and guess what? It's now part of Face of Australias permanent range! The bottle is in the normal FOA nail polish bottles, my version is from the Luxe collection.

I could have left it with just this gorgeous colour but I decided to add a bit of sparkle to my ring finger on each hand and for this I used OPI Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection. It doesn't really show up because I only did a very light coat but oh well it's a tiny bit of sparkle :).

OPI retails for $19.95AUD in Australia and this colour is still available to purchase from Adore Beauty.

Face of Australia is available at department stores and Priceline and nail polish retails for $6.95AUD you can also purchase these online from Fashion Addict & Makeup Express.

Soundwave Festival - Sounds, Studs & Slight Sunburn

Award for lamest ever blog post name goes to this post! Hurrayyyyyyy!

Last Sunday I attended the Soundwave Festival, as I do every year. I thought this year i'd do a bit of a post about what I wore, makeup and just a general recap of the day.

First the face:

This is what I slapped on (along with a good sunscreen, my face didn't get sunburnt my body slightly did though :( ).

Prodz: Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturiser, Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara, Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Fuchsia Flash, Illamasqua Blush in SOPHIE, Mac Creme Blush in Ladyblush & Australis Fresh & Flawless Powder in Natural.

I always wear minimal makeup to festivals, if you've like to know my festival routine with a bit of a tutorial check out my YouTube video on such subject!

For my outfit, Comfort is always key for a festival. I did a last minute DIY stud job on my fave pair of baggy boyfriend style denim shorts and chucked on a singlet from Cotton On with my trusty Converse Chucks! Simple!

I'm really into studding all the things at the moment, I might do a video on how to stud clothes, shoes etc soon.

Does anyone else take issue with wearing the band/bands you are seeing shirts to concerts? I have this weird thing that I can't. The boy however rocked his Metallica shirt while I shook my head.

MUSIC! I saw so many bands as I always do but my highlights of the day were definitely All Time Low & Metallica. I've seen both bands before numerous times but they were just fun.

Bands: Bullet for my Valentine, Linkin Park, All Time Low, Metallica

I was also excited to hear that the organiser for Soundwave is bringing Vans Warped Tour to Australia.... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! Sign me up for a ticket rightaway please!

Did anyone else go to Soundwave?
